Here are a few recent projects we have completed;
'Loved the Kitchen so Much, I got Julie to Decorate the Rest of the House'
"Julie offered an excellent professional design service and really listened to my requirements, providing invaluable advice and inspiration. A team of trade professionals come as part of the package, and all work was executed to an impeccable standard.
I have no hesitation recommending Julie Ball Designed Interiors. I was so pleased with the outcome that I opted for her Designer for the Day package for my other rooms. The rest of the house is now uniquely styled to the same calibre as the kitchen."
'The Dark & The Lights'
With a large family eager to gather together in a unique and exciting space, it was decided to orientate the kitchen, dining and lounge areas to face one another. This allowed the family to converse across rooms spending quality time whilst doing their own things. To add contrast and weight to space, The Tabacco Elm Daval kitchen furniture was chosen, and the remaining surfaces treated to a cashmere paint. The most noticeable features are the natural elm breakfast bar bench and dazzling lights that significantly impact every angle.
'The New Kitchen Diner'
These clients asked for an existing kitchen, diner, boot room, downstairs toilet, and bike shed re-design, with more functional space for their children and dog. The layout was altered, and pocket doors added for ease. New external french doors were installed and the kitchen window re-sized to flood the space with light. We added two rows of mid-toned wall units for an airy and open feel, and the remaining space was left to celebrate the artists work.
Seriously thrilled with our new space. It's very comfy and just what we wanted. There is an artist in all of us; great ideas, great design."
'The Post Modernist En-Suite Shower Room'
Eager to modernise their outdated bathroom suite, the clients opted for a spacious walk-in shower that reflected their sophisticated style and complemented their postmodernist home. The Viero Hydro wall created a visual impact along with a hydrophobic washable finish. In addition, the heavy-duty complimenting shower tiles and geometric patterned floor tiles gave a striking contrast.
'The Walnut Bedroom'
The brief was to design and install freestanding fitted wardrobes. The textured walnut headboard looked magnificent with the walnut finish doors and leather handles. The client chose the wallpaper, and the photoshoots show an exploration of multi-seasonal accessorising.
Thanks, Julie. You and your team did a fantastic job."
'The Bright & Airy Kitchen'
This kitchen needed replacing and refreshing using light and uplifting themes. The units were painted, and a Minerva continuous worktop installed with an easy to clean integrated sink, with seamless, invisible joints.
Thank you very much; I am absolutely delighted with the result and appreciate the guidance and advice given throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, and the installation was professional. One delighted customer, Rob."
Hi... Let's get in touch!
'The Scandi Style Kitchen Diner'
We were asked to create an imaginative, quirky, and modern kitchen diner to accommodate several guests. Swapping the existing kitchen and diner rooms created a spacious, workable kitchen area. The sliding pocket door saved considerable space and allowed plenty of light, along with the french doors. The farm salvaged light fittings, faux stone wall and scaffold plank table provided the client with the rustic element they wanted. Light grey gloss units and contrasting charcoal splashback applied definition whilst the wooden splashback, the client's idea, added warmth.
We really appreciate the design and layout. You sourced some really great ideas, and your tradespeople are of excellent quality. Mr & Mrs B."
'The Crystal Ball Kitchen'
This 1899 Grade 2 listed home, formally a York City & County Bank, has been treated to an opulent bespoke, hand-painted in-frame kitchen incorporating the latest technological appliances, including a glitter ball extractor. The client chose Farrow & Ball archive colours of Charcoal for the island unit and Partridge Grey for the wall and freestanding cupboards. The original restored parquet floors co-ordinate beautifully with modern-day living.
'The Hallway & Lounge Transformation'
The Brief; To improve a dark existing hallway previously lacking character and light.
Stuck for ideas on our dark hallway; Julie suggested widening the lounge doorway, removing and replacing the wooden spindles with glass and installing stone panelling. This dramatically transformed the space, and we loved the panelling so much, we continued it into the lounge and fireplace. We are over the moon with the transformation. Thank you, Julie; without your brilliant ideas and guidance, we would never have done it."
'The Textural Downstairs Loo'
Having worked with this client in the past, I knew they would love this decorative wooden panelling made from redundant Rioja wine barrels with lovely deep purple and red wine tones. This worked exceptionally well with the Daval wenge fitted furniture and leather handles. The right wall was finished with a Venetian plaster that beautifully handled the circular window whilst allowing plenty of light. Pebbled flooring completed this stunning look of balanced textures.
Julie is a pleasure to deal with and has some really great ideas and an exceptional eye for detail."
'The Hand Painted Home'
For this family kitchen, we used a defined colour palette, with the original staircase and landing contributing to the overall scheme. By eradicating the original hallway and removing the wall dividing the kitchen and dining room, we created a dramatic eating and greeting space with a striking panelled chimney breast, plenty of storage and a functional design. The warm, relaxing evening room on the other side of the house uses a bold Basalt Blue to contrast the sunroom for dramatic light and dark tones, creating an elegant family home perfect for all seasons.
'Luxury Master En-Suite Bathroom with Sauna'
The Brief; Bathroom Design for Sally & Stewart. The brief was to create a sanctuary bathroom with a large shower, freestanding bath, double basins & towel storage Having worked with these clients in the past, I knew the colour palette would need to be warm and inviting, and so would the room temperature, the bathroom was single brick before we created another insulated interior layer, the existing sauna also had wooden panelling which needed an update, our solution was to clad this area with the Panel Piedra stone panelling product which added so much character to this space, and adding a new glass door, the images speak for themselves.
We are delighted with our bathroom. It's our favourite room in the house. We love the fabulous new stone walls, and the underfloor heating is such a treat for the feet! I love everything about it. Thank you, Julie Ball."
